If you have already purchased or planning to purchase any guitar, there are some basic guitar accessories where every guitar learner frequently uses.

Today, I will be showing you the checklist of accessories that I have at my house when I started practicing guitar.

Tuner

The main purpose of the tuner is to tune your guitar strings.
You can either go and purchase a digital tuner that is available in the musical stores or else go for an app called GuitarTuna, a free guitar tuning app that helps you tune your guitar, whether it’s acoustic or electric.

Plectrum or pick is to pluck string or strum guitar.
It comes in various sizes as shown in the image below. But, it’s always better if we use a pick as thin as we can. Because thin picks will help you learn to strum well.
And, It is also worth getting a couple of Medium thicknesses too — these are better for playing notes individually (like when you play scales).
You should always own at least two or three sizes. Some of the picks which I have owned based on the highest reviews are:

A capo is a really cool device, basically a clamp that you place on the guitar neck, and it changes the pitch of the open strings.
They are used to change the key of a song and will allow you to play along with songs that are otherwise very hard.
If you sing, they are also useful to change the key of a song quickly to help you find the right key for your singing voice. A very useful (though not 100% necessary) accessory.
I use Arctic One-Handed Trigger Alloy Guitar Capo — The best of all!!

This one is very important. I use metronome a lot.
It is very helpful to improve your timing, speed and also helps to improve your rhythm. You can use digital metronome or software metronome-like Sound Brenner Metronome app on your mobile phone. Going forward on your journey, this really helps a lot.

Other Guitar Accessories to Consider:

For any beginner, the above accessories are a must and should. All beginners need a metronome or guitar tuner regardless of whether you learn on acoustic or electric.
Apart from that, other guitar accessories which we should consider depending on our situation are amplifiers, cables, strings, straps, headphones, cases, and stands.
